Celebrating birthdays at school is always special. It’s pretty awesome to see the little people we’ve loved, taught and nurtured, grow up into amazing ‘big kids!’ Thanks for letting us be, not just a part of your child’s special day, but a part of their life. We don’t take our role in these little lives lightly!

Happy birthday Eli! 🥳🎉🎂🎈

Happy [day after] Thanksgiving! 😆 We are incredibly thankful for all of our kids, families and staff. We hope you all get to enjoy the long weekend and get time to reflect on all of the people and things in your life that you’re thankful for. Practicing an ‘attitude of gratitude’ is a great habit to start. We don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving to shift our focus from ourselves, to something or someone else. This is true even for children. Rather than focusing on what we don’t have, we focus on all of the things and people that we do have. See the attached article for more information on developing an ‘attitude of gratitude!’

Tell us what you’re most thankful for this year. We want to hear it! We’re grateful for our kids, families and staff. Since Covid, the childcare industry has suffered in many ways. Thousands of centers have been forced to shut down, especially privately owned ones. We are incredibly thankful to all of our kids and families, for sticking with us through it all and trusting that we always have your child’s best interest at heart. We are also so, so thankful for our staff, for showing up each and every day to love, teach and care for all of our Kids Learn & Care children. It takes a village and we are truly thankful for all of the people that make up ours!

We are now enrolling! Openings currently available for infants, toddlers, preschool & school age. November enrollments will recieve a waived registration fee. ($150) Our school offers an engaging, hands-on and developmentally appropriate curriculum for each age group while also encouraging children to learn through play. We offer plenty of opportunities for both structured & unstructured play, to allow children to learn to work in groups, share, negotiate, resolve conflicts, explore friendships, and communicate with each other. Providing children with opportunities to explore their creative sides and imagination is important to us, as we believe that play is critical to a child’s overall health, development, and well-being. Our number one priority is ensuring that the children in our care are always safe. All members of our staff are First Aide, CPR, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse certified. Our staff is experienced and most have been at Kids Learn & Care for 5 or more years. We transport to & from Gahanna Schools but are willing to add additional routes if time & distance allows. If you are interested in seeing if we can transport your child, please reach out. We look forward to hearing from you! Please call or email to schedule a tour.

Thank you!

Our school age kids love spending time in our reading tent. ⛺️ After the Kids Learn & Care bus picks them up from school, they come back to the center, have snack, get help with homework and then spend 20 minutes reading before going outside to play. They can read alone or with others and needless to say, reading aloud to each other in the reading tent is a big hit!

Having children read aloud to each other has many benefits. It helps them develop thinking skills, strengthens their listening skills, and improves literacy skills.

Reading aloud is especially beneficial during the early school years, as it can help children understand and process new information better.

We still have spots available in our before & after school program for kindergarten and up. If your child needs some extra help with homework or reviewing materials learned at school, we might be just what you’re looking for. We are invested in the success of every child in our care and will always go above and beyond to ensure they’re getting the support they need to succeed! Call today to set up a tour of our school and mention this post to recieve a waived registration fee! 🚌📚👩🏻‍🏫

Our preschoolers love a good photo shoot! 📸

If you have a preschool age child (3-4 years old) and are looking for care that will prepare your child for their future education while also encouraging plenty of learning through play, we currently have openings in our preschool room. We believe that who your child becomes as an individual is just as important as what they learn which is why we also focus on character development. We meet each child where they’re at and guide them on their journey of early education in a nurturing environment. Give us a call today to set up a tour and don’t forget to ask about our current discount! ✏️✂️📚

Showing off their chalk art skills during preschool playground time!

Chalk is not only fun to use but also an educational material that kids should be exposed to often. It is a great way to build fine motor control and creativity. 💜

Our older infants sure do love to explore in the sensory bins!

This form of hands-on fun is all about stimulating your child’s senses, letting them explore different textures, sounds, sights, smells and tastes on their own terms.

Sensory stimulation is an important way that babies first get to know the world around them. As sensory play progresses to hands-on activities, it also plays an important role in helping children build the cognitive skills involved in problem solving and abstract thinking. Early visual and motor stimulation also seem to play a role in the development of language and math skills later on, too! ✨
