🍕 Fun, Friends, & Future Readiness! 🎉

Over the last two weeks, our amazing vocational students have been hard at work cleaning, sorting, and prepping student devices and charging cables to make sure everything is ready for the upcoming school year. Their dedication and teamwork truly make a difference across our entire SEDOL community!

To celebrate the conclusion of another amazing summer work session and all of their hard work, we threw a well-deserved party complete with pizza, games, and lots of laughs.

To top it off, we had a very special guest stop by and join in the fun—our new Superintendent, Dr. Jennifer Thomas! Dr. Thomas jumped right into the celebration to meet the students, join the games, and congratulate everyone on a job well done.

Thank you to our incredible students and staff for making these past two weeks a huge success!

Our vocational students have been rocking their summer work!
Guided by Job Coach Joanna O'Brien, Para Liaison Adam Rivera, and Vocational Facilitator Denise Mueller, the team tackled some major technology goals:

✅ Cleaned, sorted, and binned Chromebooks and iPads 💻📱
✅ Organized all charging cables and power cords
✅ Prepped technology for seamless classroom delivery

Thanks to their hard work, our students and staff were set up for tech success this summer and beyond! 💙

We are thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Jennifer Thomas as our new Superintendent! Dr. Thomas brings a wealth of experience, a passion for student success, and a deep commitment to the diverse needs of our special education community.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter together, Dr. Thomas has shared a special introductory letter with our SEDOL families, staff, and community partners. In it, she shares her vision for our cooperative and her eagerness to collaborate with all of you on behalf of our students.

The vocational department is so grateful to have partnered with the IT department again this summer. Our Vocational Enrichment Opportunity (VEO) give student’s resume building experience they do not have during the school year.

In light of the recent warning issued by the National Weather Center and in collaboration with many of our local member districts, ALL SEDOL buildings will be closed on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, due to extreme cold.
