Our Gator family got a little brighter this year with the addition of Ms. Claypool’s class! From hands-on learning and creative exploration to building skills, independence, and confidence, there are so many great things happening in this classroom every day. 🌟

Ms. Claypool, Ms. Allison, and Ms. Vanessa pour so much patience, love, creativity, and encouragement into their students—and these sweet Gators bring just as much joy right back to all of us. Seeing them learn, grow, explore, and become part of our school community has been such a gift.

We are so thankful they are part of GPES. They haven’t just joined our school—they’ve made it brighter! 💚✨

Way to go Mrs. Glover’s Class! So proud of our Gators!🐊

COMMUNITY CHOICE WINNER!

The votes are in! We are excited to announce that Mrs. Glover’s 4th Grade Class at Grassy Pond Elementary is the Possum Trot Schoolhouse Experience Community Choice Winner!

As the Community Choice Winner, Mrs. Glover’s class will be the first class to enter Possum Trot Schoolhouse on September 25 and officially begin the inaugural Possum Trot Schoolhouse Experience. They will receive the special distinction of leading the day as the first group of students to step back in time and learn inside the historic schoolhouse.

We also want to recognize Mrs. Ann Whiteside’s 4th Grade Class at Grassy Pond Elementary and Mrs. Sophia Parker’s 4th Grade Class at Limestone Central Elementary for their fantastic submissions. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and effort helped make this first year of the program something truly special.

And we have more good news: all three participating classes will take part in the Possum Trot Schoolhouse Experience on September 25! Each class will have the opportunity to step inside the schoolhouse, experience period-style lessons and activities, and discover what learning was like for students of the past.

We look forward to welcoming everyone on September 25 as we bring Possum Trot School back to life for a new generation of students.

Congratulations again to Mrs. Glover’s class, and thank you to every student, teacher, family member, and community member who participated, shared, and voted.
