It was a pleasure as well as a privilege to have dine with the members of the Class of 1957 at their luncheon July 2nd Kobe's Restaurant in the Gadsden Mall during the celebration of Carver's Reunion. We were so please to have Johnnie Ann Daley Jones with us after so many years without her.Thanks to almighty which allowed us to come together one more time.May we continue to sing her praise, dear old Carver High !!!!

The 1957 Class of Carver High School, Gadsden, Al. sadly announce the passing of one of its finest classmate SHIRLEY HOLT THOMAS. We loved and will miss her dearly.She is gone but will be remember by us all !!!

Central/Carver High Shool 1X School Reunion was attended by those who held in their hearts our Alma Mater.''LET HER WORTHY SONS AND DAUGHTERS and LET OUR HEARTS BE EVER LOYAL to OUR ALMA MATER DEAR. Her worthy sons and daughters came from the north, south .east and west to sing praises to Dear Old Carver High !!! The reunion was enjoyed by us all .

To help us celebrate our 55th. year with their presence were members of the Class of 1957 :Rueben Ransaw, Willie Lee Sutton, William Robinson, William Story, Robert Marbury, Danny Sumpter, Robert Turk, Mary Lovelace Hightower, Adell Farris McAlpin. Vida Ager McGee, Jewell Lovelace Hall, Minnie Lue Green Brown and Jimmie Ruth Keith Thompson who was a stand in for her deceased sister Betty Jean Keith Hauser.Truly our other classmates that was unable to come was missed.

Let us keep our classmated lifted in prayer those that are ill: Shirley Holt Thomas, Ella Mae Sumpter Childs, Elois Toney Brown , Robert [Bobby Joe] Coleman and those I donot know that maybe ill. Praise God from whom all blessings flow

Carver Square
