🐾❤️Homecoming Reminders❤️🐾

We’re so excited to celebrate Homecoming Week with our Highland Bulldogs! Please take a moment to review the dress-up days on the flyer and help your student join in on the fun. 🎉

A few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe, comfortable, and school-ready:

👟 Shoes: Tennis shoes are always encouraged, especially since students will still participate in P.E. and regular school activities. Please no slides, house shoes, or unsafe footwear.

👗 Dress Code: All outfits should remain school dress-code appropriate and allow students to move, learn, and participate comfortably.

🎭 Costumes & Masks: Students may dress up for the theme, but full costumes, masks that cover the face, or anything that makes it difficult to see or safely participate are not permitted. Please keep accessories simple and school-friendly.

Thank you for helping us make Homecoming Week fun, safe, and full of Bulldog pride! ❤️🖤🐾

🐾 Highland Elementary Student Clubs are off to a GREAT start! ❤️

Our Bulldogs kicked off their Student Clubs program, and what an exciting day of learning! Students chose clubs based on their interests and will meet on the last Friday of each month throughout the school year to explore new skills, discover talents, and have FUN!

Here’s a peek at what our Bulldogs were up to:

👩‍🍳 Culinary Club whipped up some delicious mac & cheese and “Cuppa Cuppa Cake”!

🔨 Woodworking Club learned to cut, sand, and drill as they began creating a special Christmas project!

🎨 Art Club learned about Vincent van Gogh and his famous painting The Starry Night, then created their own Starry Night-inspired pumpkin scenes!

🎲 Parlor Games Club explored card games, board games, and puzzles!

🎶 Music Club began learning a special song for our upcoming Veterans Day program!

🧵 Sewing Club learned the basics of sewing and got started on their first projects!

🏈 Sports Club teamed up with our Gaston High School athletes to practice football and cheerleading skills! A BIG thank-you to our Gaston athletes for joining us!

📸 Photography Club explored digital photography and put their new skills to work by capturing most of the pictures you see in this post!

What an AMAZING kickoff to our Student Clubs program! We can’t wait to see all the skills our Bulldogs develop, the friendships they build, and the fun they’ll have throughout the year!

At Highland, we’re learning, exploring, and discovering new talents together! 🐾❤️
