🌱 Look what’s growing at Little Angels! 🍆🌶️🌿

Our garden has been busy this summer! We currently have lemon basil, peppers, and eggplant growing right here at LAP and we love being able to give our children the opportunity to see where food comes from firsthand.

From planting and watering to watching our vegetables grow and finally harvesting them, our garden gives our little learners a hands-on way to explore nature, science, responsibility, and healthy foods. 🌱

And we’re not finished yet! As the seasons begin to change, we’ll soon be saying goodbye to some of our summer plants and getting the garden ready for our fall and winter crops. 🥬

We're proud to share that our community mini pantries have officially been installed!

These "take what you need, leave what you can" pantries are available to help support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. We know that strong communities are built when neighbors care for one another, and we're honored to play a small role in making resources more accessible.

Whether you're able to donate non-perishable food items or need a little extra support, these pantries are here for our community.

Last week, we rolled up our sleeves and built our very own garden beds!

At Little Angels, we believe some of the best learning happens outside the classroom. Our new garden will give children the opportunity to explore where food comes from, care for living things, practice responsibility, and discover the joy of watching something grow.

We can't wait to start planting and create hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, healthy habits, and a love for nature.

For Teacher Appreciation Week, we gifted all of our amazing staff two pairs of scrubs! They absolutely loved them! Our teachers work so hard every single day to care for, teach, and love on your little ones, and we’re so grateful for everything they do.

This past Monday, we had a productive Teacher Workday at LAP! Our team rolled up their sleeves and deep cleaned classrooms, scrubbed toys and chairs, and refreshed our space to keep it safe and welcoming for our children. We also had an impactful training to help us better prepare for our upcoming outdoor learning environment, and we’re so excited about what’s ahead!
And yesterday, we celebrated Ms. Joy’s one-year anniversary with LAP! 🎉 We are so grateful for her dedication, heart, and the love she pours into our children every day. We truly appreciate her and our entire amazing team! 💛

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with smiles, sweet treats, and lots of joy at Little Angels! 💗

Our children enjoyed a sweet Valentine’s celebration during snack time, and families were greeted with a little extra love at pickup.

We are so grateful for the generosity of those who quietly poured into our center and helped make this day special. Your kindness does not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day beautiful for our children and families.

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, we just want to take a minute to thank all of our families for being with us! We had a great time welcoming everyone for a holiday lunch this past Friday! We hope it will be a great start to your Thanksgiving holiday! We’re open this week Monday and Tuesday and will close at 2pm on Wednesday! Happy Thanksgiving LAP!

🍊🥕 NC Crunch Day! 🥦🍎

Our Little Angels joined classrooms across North Carolina to celebrate NC Crunch Day, a fun event that highlights healthy eating and the importance of local farms! 🌾

A big thank-you to the POD program for donating all the delicious oranges! 🍊 The kids had a blast peeling, tasting, and exploring them in creative ways.

Here’s to learning where our food comes from, and maybe one day sharing fruits and veggies from our very own garden! 🌱
