The awards program for JH/HS football will be November 3, 5:30PM in the cafe. This is for all participants in grades 7-12. There is a Girls Varsity Basketball game at 6:00PM, the program should conclude by 6:15PM and allow everyone to go watch the action in the gym. Winter sport coaches have been contacted and have agreed to let the athletes out of practice.

We will have our Jr. Caston Jr. High Football awards On November 3rd along with the high school football team at 5:30.

We set a goal in August to go undefeated and win the HNAC in junior high football, easily one of the toughest football conferences in Northern Indiana. Mission accomplished! 47-6 victory over Knox this morning and finished 9-0 on the season. So much fun working with these kids! Big Thanks to all the coaches Mike Trigg, Blake Mollenkopf and Jason Herd for all you do with JR. High football. Thanks to our team families for all of the trust and support this year! Congratulations Jr High Comets !!!

We just got notice that there will only be one game tomorrow against Knox due to the number of players they have this year. So on Saturday there will only be the A Game at 10 am at Caston. All players need to be here ready to go at 9 am. Go Comets!!

Your Jr High Comets traveled to Winamac tonight and come home with another big Win 40-6 to make them 8-0 on the season! The B team fell short tonight but showed some great improvement in many areas. We look to Close out our season this Saturday at 10am against Know at home. We want to invite everyone to come wear your Comet Red and lets pack the stands and support our Jr. High football team as they look to achieve their goal for this season.

Parents and Players:

Tuesday night we travel to Winamac for a 6 pm start. We will have 2 games tomorrow night. Bus will leave at 4:30 pm. Players can stay in study tables, and a coach will pick them up from tables at 4:15. If players go home, please have them back to school by 4:15 to load gear on bus and leave by 4:30.

Players need to wear khaki shorts/pants or nice jeans with white jersey tomorrow to school.

Practice on Thursday will once again end at 5 pm this week. Pleas plan accordingly.

Saturday we host Knox at 10 am. Players need to be at the field by 9 am. We will play 2 games against Knox as well. After the second game versus Knox, we will collect helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys, and pants. Players may keep mouth pieces. Please have players bring sweats and shirt to change into after the game.

Saturday is our last scheduled event for JH football. We will have an awards recognition with the high school program in the near future. When I know the date, time, and location for that, I will email out information.

Your JR. High Comets come away with another big win tonight over Culver 51-14 your Comets are now 7-0 as we head to Winamac next Tuesday night to start a big week. Next week we play Winamac on Tuesday and then Come home to face off against Knox on Saturday morning to close out the season! We are proud of this group of young football players as they continue to grow as a team and get better every week. Let’s come out in force next week and Cheer on our Jr. High Comets as they continue to work to accomplish their goals for this season. Let’s Go Comet’s!!!!

Parents and Players:

We jump back into conference play tomorrow as we host Culver at 6 pm. Culver only has one team, so there will only be 1 game tomorrow night. Players please arrive by 5 pm and warm ups will begin at 5:15 pm.

If staying after school, please report to study tables and a coach will come get the boys at 4:50 pm.

Players please wear jersey to school tomorrow with nice jeans or khaki shorts/pants. Red side jersey.

THURSDAY PRACTICE TIME CHANGE: PRACTICE WILL BE 3:30-5 PM ON THURSDAY THIS WEEK.

Reminder that youth night is Friday night at the high school football game. JH football will be recognized at halftime and players are asked to wear their jersey to the game. If cold, players wear your jersey over a hooded sweatshirt.

Your JR. high Comets come away with another big win tonight over Try County. 52-22 great all around team effort tonight by both the A team and B Team . Your Comets are now 6-0 as we look to next Tuesday at home against Culver. Keep up the great team work and Let’s GO Comets!!!!!!!

Parents and Players:

We will host Tri County tomorrow night at 6 pm at the Crater (home). Please have players here at 5 pm, warm up begins at 5:15 pm. With colder weather setting in, players may wear a school colored (red, white, blue) undershirt. No hooded sweatshirts, they are not legal in football. Crew sweatshirts are permitted.

Tri County is very limited in numbers (15 players) so there will only be one game tomorrow night.

If players cannot go home after school and return by 5 pm, there are study tables in Mrs. Banks room. Please bring homework or school work to complete, and a snack if you would like one.

I sent out a remind message today, but Comet Pride Club is hosting a youth night at the October 7th varsity football game. They are asking JH football players to attend and be recognized at halftime. Players can wear their jersey to the the game that night, and players get free entry to the game.
