"Aubrey brings an incredible sense of optimism and positivity to McIntire. She has a natural ability to see the bright side of challenges and bring that same positive energy to those around her. Her leadership also extends beyond her classroom. Aubrey has helped support McIntire's student teachers from Mizzou by organizing schedules and resources and co-leading their orientation. As a relatively new educator herself, she has been able to connect with these future teachers and offer a perspective that is both relatable and valuable. Most importantly, Aubrey makes a difference for students. She welcomes feedback, continues to grow in her instructional practice, and builds strong relationships with her students. She has a particular gift for connecting with students who can sometimes be the most difficult to reach, helping them feel valued, supported, and capable of success.
In a relatively short time, Aubrey has shown that leadership isn't about how long you've been in education—it's about the impact you have on others." -Erica Hogan, McIntire Principal

The Emerging Educator of the Year Award was created to recognize an early-career teacher (within their first five years) who shows exceptional promise, passion, and a strong foundation for future excellence in education. The Emerging Educator of the Year Award will join our other yearly awards (Teacher of the Year, Support Staff of the Year & the David W. White Outstanding Service to Education Award).

We welcomed our full district staff yesterday at our Annual All-Staff Breakfast! Along with a catered breakfast, staff were treated to a new district staff shirt, a matching sticker, and something sweet to add to their stash!

We kicked off the morning with welcome messages from Dr. Crain, FPS Superintendent; Dr. Joe Davis, FPS Board President; Angie Parkes, FCTA President & Martha Hogan, Fulton Public Schools Foundation, reminding our staff to enjoy the small moments that make our jobs so rewarding. Even if it is something as simple as supervising lunch, those moments matter!

A special thank you to our Fulton Hornet Band members who came in early to bring the energy as staff entered and then kicked off the morning program with "Fulton Boy".

We are looking forward to the 2026-27 school year and can't wait to welcome our students back on Monday, August 24th.
