🏆 For the end of the month celebrations, Volney Dragons were recognized for their “Love of Learning,” “On Fire” and several special area awards. Readers logging their minutes on Beanstack were entered into a raffle for some summer prizes. The Fulton Public Library shared their summer reading program and sent home information. The Compass Credit Union also raffled gifts for student savings accounts and brought the cash vault! 🏆

You are ready: to transition to the junior high, meet new friends, try new sports and activities, learn and grow. Each year, it gets harder to promote our dragons and send them soaring. There comes that special day when the UPK classes start moving through the hallways with confidence. They smile and wave at staff and students, recognize their friends and begin to transition into Volney Dragons. Pictures are pouring in and will be added as they are sent over. “The skies cooperated and brought us a beautiful field day,” physical education teacher Mr. Galini shared. Thank you to Stuart’s Shops of Minetto for the most delicious ice cream social to date. Tradition filled the lawn as we prepped for this annual tradition and the bell rang for “Belly Busters” when the kids picked every topping. ⛺️🏕️ Camp Day 2025 🏕️⛺️
At the end of the year, first graders celebrate their ELA achievements with Camp Day! They made s’mores, measured marshmallows, painted rocks and used play dough to design camping pictures. Families joined us for BINGO, shopping at the Trader’s Shop and completing a scavenger hunt. “What is new this year?” Mrs Macomber asked “Signing our visor with our first graders celebrate their friends!”
