September is Su***de Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, spread hope and spark meaningful action around one of the most urgent mental health issues facing our communities.

For our members, help is readily available to those in need. The Peer Support Line is a free confidential helpline provided through Member Benefits available to all members and their loved ones. Staffed by trained in-service and retired peers who understand the unique professional and personal challenges of NYSUT members, the Peer Support Line can provide answers, resources, and support when you need it. It's back to school time!! When a new school year begins, everyone loves to see pictures of kids returning to class with big smiles on their faces. The 2026-27 school year recently began and we thought you'd enjoy seeing photos of our members heading back to school. For some members of the Fulton Teachers' Association, it was the very first day of their first year of teaching. For others, it was the first day of their final year of teaching. Some members switched buildings and/or grade levels. A new year brings new possibilities for everyone and is always exciting. We hope you enjoy these smiling faces that greeted students at Fairgrieve Elem., Granby Elem., Lanigan Elem., Volney Elem., Fulton Junior High and G. Ray Bodley High School last week.
