✨ Meet our Fall 2026 Student Exhibitions Guest Panelist, Genevieve Williams!

👩🏻‍🎨 Genevieve Williams is the Founder & Director of GW Contemporary, a curator-led contemporary art gallery in Laguna Beach, California, presenting artists from the U.S., Australia, and beyond. Williams is a curator and arts professional with 15+ years of experience across the commercial and non-profit sectors in the United States and Australia and has organized over 100 exhibitions internationally. She previously served as Director & Curator of The Honarkar Foundation, as well as Director of Peter Blake Gallery in Laguna Beach and Sullivan + Strumpf in Sydney.

🧑🏻‍💻 Proposals are evaluated on conceptual rigor, clarity of vision, and exhibition readiness. Having industry professionals on the panel not only brings a high level of curatorial insight to the process, but also models professional standards for students preparing to exhibit within institutional contexts.

💥 And a huge shout out to our previous guest panelists, Aviva Ruben and Solomon Salim Moore!

🏛️ Aviva Rubin, NCARB, RA, LEED AP, is a NY-registered architect whose work spans architecture, exhibition design, teaching, and curatorial projects. She has collaborated with artists, museums, and organizations to design installations, exhibitions, furniture, and graphics, and previously held roles at Mark Grotjahn Studios, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and SFMOMA. Aviva co-founded the exhibition design firm “means + methods” in 2022 and strives to integrate human-scale spatial experiences with speculative, social, and cultural dimensions in her work.

🎨 Solomon Salim Moore is the academic curator at the Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College, specializing in works on paper. He co-directs the AllPaper Seminar, a Getty Papers Project initiative, and oversees the internship program for undergraduates at the Claremont Colleges consortium. Most recently, he curated the exhibition Line, Smudge, Shade: Contemporary Drawing in Our Los Angeles, highlighting local artists who prioritize drawing in their studio practice.

❕Don’t miss the final week of SOO KIM: (Charlie sings in the quietest voice)❕

⚠️🗓️ Last week to see the show:
Tuesday, May 12 - Saturday, May 16
11am - 4pm

📍 VA-G

🌸 SOO KIM: (Charlie sings in the quietest voice), a solo exhibition of new photo-based works by artist Soo Kim. Known for her meticulous process of cutting and layering photographs, Kim’s latest exhibition challenges traditional expectations of the medium as a form of documentation. In this new body of work, photography operates as a site of material and conceptual exploration, encompassing hand-cut prints, paper compositions, immersive slide projections, and collected ephemera. The works reflect ongoing themes in Kim’s practice-impermanence, fragmentation, and the interplay between visibility and erasure.

💁🏻 Organized by CSUF College of the Arts Galleries and curated by Jennifer Frias, Gallery Director/Curator and Jennifer Lee, Curatorial Assistant (Art History, ‘25).
