Nosferatu has been released on blu-ray since it was last shown at Plummer Auditorium in 2009. The frames below show how much sharper the Count's fangs will be this Halloween.

Preparing the video file that will be shown in October. Nosferatu was tinted, as were many films in the silent era, to indicate day and night as well as mood. These tints are especially important in Nosferatu as everything was shot in daylight and the tints provide the all important night. The print that will be shown replaces the tints with toning, a process that was used in the silent era but less often than tinting. While this is less authentic, the white areas are brighter, giving a better viewing experience. The left frame shows toning and the right shows tinting.
