The department is currently seeking a part-time Africana Studies lecturer for the Spring 2021 semester with the possibility for rehire in the 2021-2022 academic year. We are particularly interested in candidates who examine gender, sexuality, and disability within Black Studies. Our ideal candidate will have lived experience as part of a historically marginalized and underrepresented group, expertise in African American History, views education as a practice of freedom, demonstrates student-centered philosophies consistent with decolonial pedagogies, and uses effective teaching strategies that meet students diverse learning needs.
