✨ Creativity, curiosity and storytelling came to life at Fullerton School District’s 2026 GATE Summer Scholars Academy!

During the 8-day StoryCraft Studios program at Hermosa Drive Elementary School, newly identified gifted learners teamed up with experienced GATE peers to create characters, build worlds and bring original stories to life. The experience culminated with students taking the stage to perform their stories, showcasing the imagination, collaboration and confidence they developed along the way. 🎭📚

The academy also supported professional growth, with teachers earning Year 1 of their GATE certification while co-teaching alongside GATE Master Teachers and practicing strategies to support gifted learners.

Fullerton School District’s Summer Meals Program is serving nutritious meals to students in our summer programs, while free lunch is available to all children 18 and younger in the community.

From fresh fruits and vegetables to chicken corn dogs and pasta, students can enjoy healthy, delicious options all summer long. Plus, our amazing Nutrition Services team is firing up the grill for special community BBQ lunches featuring cheeseburgers, chili dogs and beef tacos made with locally sourced beef. 🌭🍔🌮

🎤 Fullerton School District’s nationally recognized Speech and Debate program continues to inspire the next generation of communicators!

During a two-week Speech and Debate Summer Camp, FSD students sharpened their public speaking, argumentation and communication skills with collegiate coaches through a partnership with Advantage Communications.

We’re also proud of the junior high students preparing to represent FSD at the National Speech & Debate Tournament next week in Richmond, Virginia! 🇺🇸

A special thank you to our former FSD Speech and Debate students — now in high school — who returned to coach and mentor our national qualifiers, helping prepare them for the national stage. Good luck, team! 🌟💙
