Sistertalk is a group that focuses on the changing roles and concerns of the African American women on campus and in the community.

This is achieved through a solution oriented empowerment dialogue session where everyone voices their concerns about their relationship with one another, African American men, other women's groups, and the dominant culture at large. This group focuses on the concerns of African-American women on and off campus.

Happy Wednesday to all of you! Just a reminder that today is our weekly discussion. It will be at our regular time and location (UH-205 at 6:00 p.m.). We know that the academic year is coming to a close so no worries, tonight will be very casual :) Hope to see you all there!

good evening Ladies,
Our Annual Tea ceremony tomorrow has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconveniences this may bring. For any questions, please email us at [email protected]

Hello Everyone,

We have a few announcements!

First, we are canceling this evening's discussion. There is a President's Reception this evening and many of our board members will not be available. Therefore, we are unable to hold discussion tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused; we will definitely pick up our regular weekly routine in two weeks following Spring Break!

Secondly, Sistertalk is hosting its annual Spring Dialogue tomorrow on March 24, 2016. So in a way, we will still be having our discussion. The dialogue will be held in the TSU tomorrow and will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and conclude by 8:00 p.m. Instead of talking about motherhood like we had said on Monday, the topic will be regarding how America loves Black Culture with the exclusion of its people. Come ready to share your thoughts because we are eager to hear what you all have to say about this controversial issue.

Thirdly, between some of the black organizations on campus, there are a few events coming up in the weeks following Spring Break! Make sure to stay posted and attentive for additional announcements!

Lastly, this is the last week before Spring Break...you're almost there so finish this week on a high note. Be safe and have fun (especially those in NSBE)!

That was quite a bit of information...take a moment to take it all in.
If you have any questions regarding anything in this post please let us know!

Good afternoon and happy Monday! Hopefully everyone is having a great start of the week thus far. This week our discussion is going to go a little bit differently. Sistertalk is collaborating with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity to present to you 'Relationships Deciphered'! The discussion will take place at our usual spot (University Hall 205) but the time is going to be from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (Yes, that is the correct time)! This week's discussion will cover a range of topics and issues, so you won't want to miss out! If you have any questions, be sure to let us know!

This is just a reminder that today is Wednesday and that means Sistertalk Discussion! Today's choice topic of discussion is "S*x Our Way"! We will be talking about regaining control of our sexuality as women and debunking a few myths as well. As usual, the meeting will be held in the Women's Center UH-205; it will begin promptly at 6:00 this evening! You won't want to miss this! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to let us know!
