Scholars!! Tomorrow is CSUF’s annual day of giving where the community comes together to raise money for organizations like PSSA, and we need YOUR help!

We have two generous donation match pledges of $10,000 and $1000 from Doug Stewart and Omar Khalid that goes towards socials, formals, showcases, and more if we can get enough donors to meet the match!

Please ask your family and supporters if they are willing to make any donation amount (big or small!) in support of this program!

Thanks for joining us at the March general meeting! Here’s a recap of all of the upcoming socials + social media opportunities that was announced:

-TOMORROW, Thursday 3/2 is Zumba with Lauryn @ 6:30-7:20pm at the SRC for some fun dance cardio! Sign up via SRC app or student portal

-Friday 3/3 is TEDxCSUF @ 6:00-8:00pm at the TSU Pavilions with awesome speakers and free boba! No RSVP needed, first come first serve

- Sunday 3/12 is the Women’s History Month Brunch @ 12:00-2:00 pm at Mama Verne’s House! This will be potluck style, so please RSVP + fill out the potluck sign up sheet

- Scholar Takeover + Scholar Spotlight!! Don’t forget that each counts for a point towards your class’s house cup in the competition

We will be hosting a potluck brunch at Mama Verne’s house in TWO WEEKS on March 12! Please note that ALL scholars are welcome to attend! We would love to see you there regardless of gender identity.

Mark your calendars because next week on Wednesday 3/1 is our March general meeting!! We will meet at 4 pm in the lounge area of Center for Scholars (inside the glass room). Get excited because we will be NOMINATING scholars for next year’s executive board! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Who will reign superior this semester?? Will it be the bright-eyed freshmen? Will it be the seasoned seniors?

You get points for attending

How to serve on the PSSA E-Board next year:
1. Be nominated for a position
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. Social Chairs (2)
2. Give a short speech at the April General Meeting
3. Voting occurs at the May General Meeting
4. Shadow at an E-Board Meeting (optional, but highly recommended if you’re unsure of which position you’d enjoy!)

🎨 Art in the Arboretum 🌻

Ready to break out your inner Picasso?? Join us this coming Friday, February 17th from 2-3:30 pm at the Fullerton Arboretum (north side of campus) for a painting social! Canvas and paints will be provided, and don’t forget to bring your own water and snacks. Meet us by the pond!

Please refer to the second slide for a map of where to go. Note that the arboretum closes at 4 pm, so we will leave before the gates close.

We are so excited to announce that Fram’s Fam is back this semester!! Join us NEXT THURSDAY on the 16th from 2-3 pm in College Park for good food and even better company: Fram, Julie, and your peers!

Can’t attend next week? There will be another Fram’s Fam on Thursday, April 27th at 2-3pm. We highly encourage you to spend some time with the Virjees before they retire!
