We currently teach at 13 schools in the Fullerton and Downey School Districts. Because of our rapport with the schools we teach at, we are allowed to hold classes on campus for next to nothing in terms of rents/facilities expenses. We then pass the savings on to our students providing lessons far under market value at a convenient location. Kai) is a Songwriting graduate from the Berklee College o
f Music in Boston. Mr. Kai has 11+ years of private instruction experience, and this is his seventh year teaching guitar in this after-school format. All teachers hired by Tritone are also college graduates of top notch music programs. Tritone offers private-lesson-quality instruction in small group settings at an affordable price. This program is founded around the philosophy that children need music in their lives to fully develop creatively and artistically. We believe that music can develop confidence, critical thinking, enthusiasm, teamwork mentality, and passion! Kai strongly believes this because it happened in his life! We also work under the philosophy that guitar serves as a “gateway” instrument into appreciation for music in general, so we focus on creating musicians, not just guitarists. Music should be fun and not forced, a principle that our kids have responded to very well! Kai has written his own curriculum that revolves around familiar songs that kids actually like to play. We will teach the kids how to read music notation, tablature, and some music theory. Class sizes are small; all teachers will offer the attention that kids need to excel at playing guitar. Weekly instruction is punctuated by numerous performance opportunities like Holiday Shows, Variety Shows, and an end of the year performance at a large outside venue, such as Steamers Jazz Club or the House of Blues, Anaheim.
