With violent crime, Asian hate, and unprovoked attacks skyrocketing over the past two years, we must become better prepared and more capable because, let's face it, criminals are only becoming more bold and brazen.

That's why Patrick will be co-teaching something few instructors offer: a comprehensive program that integrates UNARMED DEFENSE against an edged weapon and ARMED DEFENSE with an edged weapon.

Hence, the name of the event is "Knife Defense Squared" or "Knife Defense to the power of 2."

Please spread the word so more people get the training they need. Oh, and if you're reading this, that means you're eligible for our friends-and-family discount. Just send us a DM for details.

Our former instructor, Patrick Vuong, has teamed up with Coach Joe Kim of Rounders MMA Fullerton (who used to train with us in the Martial Arts Fitness Class) to present the upcoming EDC Edged Weapon Seminar on Oct. 16-17.

For those who carry a pocketknife, or have considered it due to current events, this two-day in-person event take a deep dive into the subject.

You'll learn how to select, carry, deploy, and use an everyday-carry knife for self-defense. This fun yet enlightening seminar is for the prepared and responsible person with an open mind and a positive attitude.

This week marks the 47th anniversary of the death of Bruce Lee, perhaps the single biggest reason most of us are practicing martial arts in the Western world (whether you realize it or not). Here's how you can watch "Be Water," the recent ESPN documentary about his life.

Here's part two of how to improve your left-handed punches. And even if you don't have a heavy bag at home, you can still do these drills in the air. Keep training! πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ₯Š

We say it again and again: EVERYONE should train in martial arts. Doesn't matter the age, gender, or style. Keep training (at home) πŸ’ͺπŸ‘Š

Boy bullies girl but did NOT know she had 6 years of MMA training We do not condone or encourage fighting outside of the gym. One fall on the concrete can and has caused death. But sometimes it happens, and it can be instructive…

One drill to improve your left side. If you don't have a B.O.B. at home, you can do this on a heavy bag or just in the air. You could even use string to tie a piece of paper to a ceiling fan. Heavy bag or not, keep training!
