Asian American Studies at Cal State Fullerton was approved in the summer of 1996. The minor was approved at the same time and the Ethnic Studies B.A. Option in Asian American Studies was approved in summer 1999. Both are designed for all students, whether of Asian or Pacific Islander heritage or not, who have a particular interest in learning more about the experiences of Asians and Pacific Island

Congratulations to Dr. Eric Estuar Reyes (Dept Chair) of Asian American Studies Department on his publication!
This work brings Dr. Reyes back to much earlier work on HIV/AIDS, gender and sexuality in APIDA communities.
Dr. Reyes' teaching interests at Cal State Fullerton include: Asian American Creative Expression, Introduction to Ethnic Studies, Filipino American Communities and Contemporary Issues, Asian American Community Development.

"Everyday Connections" an exhibition curated by Dr. Eric Estuar Reyes of Department of Asian American studies.
The exhibit depicts art with the theme of
everyday connections.

Dr. Eric Estuar Reyes is a exhibited ceramics artist, and current department chair for Asian American studies at CSUF. Exhibit also features the work of Jennifer K. Wofford, a San Francisco based artist and part-time faculty at University of San Francissco.
The exhibit will be free to visit from November 1st to December 22nd, at the second floor (West Terrace) of Pollak Library.

With events such as “Mabuhay: A Crash Course to Filipino American History Month and Student Mixer,” Dr. Ocampo's "Latinos of Asia" speaker event, "How Does That Make you Feel " in collaboration with CSUF CAPS, and Fernando Argosino's presentation on his comic book "What Scares a Monster", nd more to come!
