Most recent nanny and babysitting ā„ļø Iām super lucky that families love my assistant (my 12 year old) and so she gets to come on adventures with us. Also, it helps having a younger entertainer and wrangler.

Pool covers and tarps > slip and slide, just add dish soap and water!
This is my brothers and neighbor 15 + years ago. Instead of my parents scrubbing the algae/dirt off of the pool cover, I turned it into a giant slip and slide a few years prior. I grew up in St. Louis, so we have to cover the pool for the cold months.

We all dislike throwing away the awkwardly shaped mango seed...did you know that you can freeze it in plastic wrap and itāll become a mixture between a popsicle and teether for baby? Kids love these mango treats!

Plastics {Even BPA-Free} Messing With The Hormones Of Our Kids? Almost all commercially available plastics we sampled leached chemicals with measurable estrogenic activity, including those advertised as BPA free.

Rise of the Teacher Nanny
Parents, it was nearing the end of summer when we heard our fate. Had we not spent the majority of the last 4 months inside, it probably would have been more shocking. Some parents are working from home and some have lost their job but we all became teachers. We are all walking the mental tightrope of Covid-life. How are we going to look back on the longest āthat one timeā in history that almost everyone in the world can relate to? To most this sounds like a disaster, but my whole life prepared me for this. I have been teaching, nannying, babysitting, house managing, cleaning and organizing, homeschooling, tutoring most of my life. I love it.
My 10 year old daughter completed her 4th grade school year like the rest of our kids, in an emergency āvirtual classroom.ā She and āHerman, the smart kidā were the only students that completed all the assignments. I couldnāt believe it; only 2 out of 32? Classroom zoom calls twice a week with 6, maybe 10 students, out of 32? We signed my daughter up for āsummer extensionā for the month of June. She also completed all assignments. The next 2 weeks were speech and debate camp, 4 hours a day and 5 days a week. Iāve learned a lot about what being a parent during this time means and I can help you navigate this with ease!
I would love to find a family or group of families I can work with. Payment would be on a sort of sliding scale depending on times needed and number of children. But, I am looking to fill my schedule full time. I can accompany your children on their virtual learning journey where assignments are posted daily by a teacher or I am comfortable with taking a homeschool approach, teaching subjects as a group, and individualizing assignments to cater to each child in the group.
I can work any time and any day for the right family, but I favor M-F 9-5. I live in West Fullerton. I teach, cook, clean, and organize. I will take on any motherly task, Iām pretty sure Iāve done it all. I am not looking to sit and teach for 8 hours straight; I like to keep up with the house as well. After 10+ years of nannying, I have come to understand I am not doing my nanny kids a favor being by their side 24/7. I teach life skills and take into consideration what will benefit my nanny kids most in their lives. This means chores, helping with snacks, food, learning how to manage their time effectively. It means learning while doing and doing while learning. Iām also a baby wiz, if youāve got an infant. Iāve got you completely covered! I potty train, sleep train, and even make my own baby food.
Are you a family looking for a Teacher-Nanny comfortable working with multiple children? Are parents both working demanding full time jobs? Now that schools are closed, will you need help with creating fun and engaging activities for your kids and someone to help them with online learning or homeschooling? Letās talk.
I have experience working within a classroom setting and nannying. I would like to work with multiple children at a time (friends or family). When kids are occupied I will help with household management and various other duties. During this time, safety is my biggest concern. I am active and love sports; play is important to me. I am a calm and assertive nanny comfortable with keeping things in control with loving gentle boundaries. I am familiar with redirection, positive reinforcement, and giving the kids choices to empower their self-esteem. I am comfortable with schedule-orientated kids that thrive with routine, as well as greater goal oriented, which is less scheduled but still working towards a goal.
Iām glad Chloe sat in on the CPR class I took last summer to get certified, she was able to revive her hand during the writing portion of our day, after it started cramping up.
Funny thing about that CPR class was none of the adults had a pen to sign in (or take notes for that matter). The CPR instructor asked, ādoes anyone have a pen so we can all sign in?ā Chloe proudly said āI do.ā She then searched her purse and took out a 2ā red/white pill capsule...I tried to quiet her, āno baby put that awayā then she transformed it into a 5ā pen...and we all passed it around to sign in.
Never have seen this! Love it!
