Pumpkins are available outside of Community Feed and Seed. Please make payment inside and indicate it is for the pumpkins. Pumpkins are $5 each. ALL proceeds will be donated to individuals that are battling cancer to help with travel, treatment, or other condition-related costs. This opportunity will run until the end of Octoberā€¦or until we run out of pumpkins! šŸŽƒ HUGE thank you to Mark Ulferts for donating the pumpkins and to Community Feed and Seed for allowing us to sell the pumpkins out of their business!!

Weā€™re gonna be cooking up some gooooood food for the Homecoming game on Friday! Stop by the concessions stand to grab a brisket sandwich or some pulled pork nachos, courtesy of our very own Dayzie-Kay Olson and Easy Bake BBQ!

Speaking of concessionsā€¦members stop by the Ag room to get signed up! We only have 1-3 members currently signed up for each shift and will need much more help throughout the game on Friday.

Happy National Teach Ag Day!!

We got to celebrate by putting on some short agricultural lessons for the elementary students. Officers taught them all sorts of things, from chicken incubation šŸ£ to wholesale cuts of meat šŸ‚ to corn šŸŒ½! Not only that, but students in the high school had the opportunity to participate in a fun scavenger hunt that was all about agricultural education.

Big things are on the horizon for Fullerton FFA...

We are so excited to announce that we have received two grants through the Nebraska FFA Foundation!

The Fullerton FFA Chapter was awarded a $2,500 grant through the NIFA Governor's Award of Excellence. Funds from this grant will be utilized to purchase a RealityWorks Growing Methods kit as well as additional materials so students can partake in multiple different kinds of plant germination and harvesting labs in the classroom.

The Chapter was also awarded a $75,000 grant to support our Fullerton FFA Greenhouse Project. This grant was funded by the Nebraska FFA Foundation and the Growing a Brighter Future for Nebraska FFA Grant, funded by Howard G. Buffett Foundation. With these funds we plan to build a greenhouse that will be run by FFA members and utilized for multiple Ag classes throughout the year. We hope that this project will not only benefit students in Ag classes, but all students at FPS as well as the community of Fullerton!

We'd like to say a sincere thank you to the Nebraska FFA Foundation, NIFA, Growing a Brighter Future for Nebraska FFA, and the Howard G. Buffet Foundation for their generous contributions towards these projects. Thank you for your support of our Chapter and helping to grow the next generation of agriculturists!!
