"Created during a 30-day design challenge in ART 483A: Special Studies in Graphic Design. FACE is one of five original brand concepts developed by student designer and artist Corey Curiel. The luxury cosmetics brand combines hand-painted watercolor portraiture with packaging and brand design, showcasing the integration of fine art and graphic design through a cohesive makeup collection concept. Every portrait, packaging element, and visual detail was designed by the artist as part of the month-long creative exploration.”

Congratulations, Class of 2026!
It is an honor to feature some wonderful 2026 grads, continuing our commencement series, we have Jonathan Hernandez!
We asked him about his time at CSUF:
What is your greatest takeaway from being a student in the CSUF Visual Arts department?
"My biggest takeaway from being a student in the California State University, Fullerton Visual Arts Department is gaining knowledge, experience, and networking opportunities that prepare. me for a career in the arts. Through the program, I’ve built a strong foundation of knowledge—not just technical skills, but also an understanding of art concepts, history, and how to think critically about my work. I’ve been grateful to land a job as a student assistant with the College of the Arts Gallery at California State University, Fullerton, which has given me valuable insight into how the gallery field operates. Through this experience, I’ve been able to see the behind-the-scenes work that goes into organizing exhibitions, handling artwork, and supporting artists, giving me a much deeper understanding of the professional art world. Equally important is the networking aspect. Being surrounded by peers, professors, and visiting artists has allowed me to build connections, receive valuable feedback, and learn from others’ experiences. These relationships are essential for future opportunities and collaborations in the art world. Overall, the combination of knowledge, experience, and networking has been the most valuable part of my time in the program."
