Here you can learn more about me and why I’m running for college board. I have dedicated much of my life to improving public education in North OC. I’m a candidate for college board to expand access to higher education and advocate for our students.

I’m a Mom, educator, attorney, and longtime community leader who has been active in dozens of local organizations. I’ve been a public school teacher & speech therapist. I grew up in Fullerton, raised our kids here, and I have deep roots in our community.

Yesterday evening’s annual Fullerton Rotary UNCORKED event was held on the grounds of Hunt Branch Library, and it was sold out with over 200 people! Many local restaurants provided tastes of their speciality fare, a large selection of wines were available, and Stick & Stones live band performed during the event. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to local non-profit groups which provide many needed programs in our community. We support the work of Rotary, and we enjoy these community events which raise funds for the underserved.

Yesterday’s fall convocation at Fullerton College was well-attended by faculty, staff, administrators, student leaders, and others who are integral to the school. It was great to receive updates on the drone program, and the department now offers a BA Degree in drone technology. Kudos to Jay Seidel, the department head for drones, who is making the department grow! The convocation was a good time to catch up with friends from Fullerton College.

La Cava was the venue for last night’s bingo fundraiser for the Placentia Fire Department Peer Support program. It was a sold-out event which included a silent auction as well as a series of bingo games. Many Placentia residents came out for the event, and it was fun to play a few games of bingo with prizes donated by local businesses. Many thanks to the volunteers who coordinated the event!

It was an honor to participate in today’s OC YWCA Scholarship awards ceremony at the Fullerton Elks Club. Each of these women have stories of perseverance and determination to reach their educational goals. Their stories were very inspiring! The women will be attending Fullerton College or CSUF, and they are very appreciative of the awards.

Last night’s Taste of Placentia event at Tri City Park was really fun and well-attended with so many local restaurants participating. The food was great, and hundreds of folks came out to enjoy the event. Kudos to all the volunteers who made this event special!
