Fulda Public School Building Project Update

This past week saw work continue on both the inside the existing building and outdoors on the new additions. The pouring of concrete for the north and south addition footings and foundations was completed on Friday. In the next week or two work on the footings for the auxiliary gym/storm shelter will begin.

As backfilling work next to the existing building began, the removal of previously cut exterior walls could begin as shoring up of the building was made possible. The pictures show corridor access to the future high school and to the new wood shop.

HVAC classroom units and ductwork installation continues along with the roughing in of the fire sprinkler system. As required by code, we need to establish a fire wall from the existing building to our new additions. The application of fire stop material took place and installation of fire rated door frames and doors is on the agenda.

Roofing began again with plans to have the existing roof completed within the week.

Flag Football opportunity through MCC. The league is open to boys and girls entering 1st–4th grade and is designed to provide a fun, safe, and positive football experience. MCC's hope is to include players from neighboring communities and continue building relationships through youth athletics.

Registration closes on Friday the 14th, payment can be made at the first practice.

Fulda Public School Building Project Update

This past week progress was made both inside the existing building and outdoors on the new additions. Concrete was cut and removed in the floors to allow for waste line installation. The photo shown is that of the new HS Science Lab. The wall openings that are no longer needed began to be filled in with cement block along with block being laid around one of the new north-south HS addition corridor openings. HVAC classroom units and ductwork installation continues. Footing and foundation concrete work continues and has now moved to the west and south sides of the building.

Unfortunately an additional tree had to be removed on the buildings south side.
