Students worked hard in STEM collaborating to dream up creative ideas and bring them to life with LEGO builds! From cities and airports to underwater worlds and carnivals… their imaginations were on full display, and they built it all!

I could not be more proud of our incredible fourth and fifth grade students who performed at tonight’s Spring Sing! They were all such rockstars and it was a great way to end the year together. Tonight is our Spring Sing Concert featuring fourth and fifth grade students!

A few reminders:

🌷 Students should be at the high school no later than 5:50pm in the Performing Arts Center. There will not be adult supervision for students prior to 5:30pm.

🌷 All students will meet in the auditorium. Fourth grade students will stand with their class on the ramps on either side of the stage, and fifth grade students will sit with their class in the audience. Edgewood staff will help direct your students to the right location.

🌷 Feel free to have your student dressed in their springtime best! In order to see all students on stage, please do not have your student wear any type of hat or headband (i.e. bunny ears). Because the stage lights can get very warm, I would suggest avoiding heavy sweaters as well.

🌷 Doors will open for families at 5:30pm.

🌷 Students will perform with their entire grade level on stage. When students are not on stage, they will be watching from the audience with Edgewood Staff until the concert is over around 6:45pm. Please wait to pick up your student(s) until the entire performance has ended.

Edgewood showcased an incredible collection of artwork at the Muskegon Museum of Art tonight! Way to go, ROCKSTARS! These talented artists have so much to be proud of 💙🤍

2nd grade finished their “fidget boards” last week! They were encouraged to use a variety of textures and a color scheme to create functional fidgets that they can use outside of art class. They had so much fun with these materials 💙

This Wednesday, students and staff are encouraged to wear a school appropriate hat or cap. In doing so, please donate $1 to support Cailen.

For those who may not know him, Cailen is a 1st grader at Edgewood Elementary who has been courageously battling cancer. Let’s show him and his family just how strong the Trojan community is! 💙

Our fourth grade students have been rocking it out on their recorders! Our Link Up Field trips is a few short weeks away and we are SO ready. Last week, we even had a visitor from the West Michigan Symphony, who showed us how he plays the viola and helped us with some of our recorder songs. He said was so impressed at how beautiful they sounded! Way to go, rockstars!

Our K–1 STEM students are learning the basics of coding using Code & Go Mice! 🐭💻

Students worked in teams of two to plan, test, and problem-solve as they programmed their mice to reach their goals. It was great to see them collaborating, communicating, and adjusting their plans when things didn’t go quite as expected. Teamwork and perseverance in action!
