We have some important back-to-school information coming your way, so keep an eye on your email!

📩 FRIDAY, AUGUST 14
Mr. Bogue’s Back-to-School Email will be sent at the end of the day. This email will include important information to help your family prepare for the new school year.

THE PARENT PORTAL OPENS!

To receive your child’s teacher assignment and important back-to-school information, families will need to log in to the Parent Portal and complete the annual parent forms.

If you are unable to access your Parent Portal or one of your students is not listed on your account, please contact the Beach Elementary office at 231-773-8996 so we can help!

👋 KINDERGARTEN PARENTS & NEW STUDENTS

If your child is entering kindergarten or is a new student to Beach Elementary, watch for an email from Mrs. Tosterud on Monday, August 17, or Tuesday, August 18.

This email will include information about how to set up your Parent Portal and the access information you’ll need to add your student to your account.

If you do not receive the email, please contact the office so we can make sure we have the correct contact information and that your child’s enrollment is complete.

We’re getting closer, Beach! 🌊🎒 We’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back!

We are SO excited to welcome Mr. Paul Krispin to his new role as a 4th Grade Teacher at Beach Elementary!

Paul has been part of the Beach family for the past two and a half years as an Instructional Assistant, and we couldn’t be more excited to see him step into the classroom and continue making a difference for our students in this new role.

We know our fourth graders are in for an amazing year, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things Mr. Krispin brings to his classroom!

Help us give Mr. Paul a big Beach welcome and wish him an incredible first year as a classroom teacher!

🌊 THE BEACH ELEMENTARY OFFICE IS OPEN — AND WE’RE GETTING READY FOR YOU! 🌊

Beach families, the countdown is officially on! Our office is open, our staff are busy preparing for the new school year, and we are SO excited to welcome our students back!

To help you get ready, we’ve put together two things you’ll want to save:

📅 IMPORTANT BACK-TO-SCHOOL DATES
Swipe through the first graphic for important dates and events happening before and during the first weeks of school—including Community Blue & White Night, Kindergarten Bus Night, Meet, Greet, Find Your Seat, the first day of school, and Labor Day Break.

🎒 SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS
Swipe to the second graphic to find your student’s school supply list. It’s a great time to check your list and grab those last few items before school begins!

📧 ONE IMPORTANT EMAIL REMINDER

Mr. Bogue’s Back-to-School email will be sent Friday, August 14, at the end of the day.

If you are a returning Beach family and have not received the email by Monday, August 17, please contact the Beach Elementary office. We want to make sure we have the correct email address and contact information for your family in our system.

NEW TO BEACH?

If your child is a new student and you do not receive the Back-to-School information, please call our office at 231-773-8996. We’ll be happy to help make sure your child’s enrollment has been completed and that we have the correct contact information for your family.

And don’t worry—we’re just getting started! Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be sharing helpful reminders and information here on Facebook to help your family feel prepared and confident heading into the new school year.

🥎💙 LET’S GEAR UP, BEACH! 💙🥎

We believe every girl deserves the chance to play the game she loves! 💪🧡

The Beach Softball Club is hosting a Used Softball Equipment Drive & Distribution on August 16 from 1:00–3:00 PM at 2741 Heights Ravenna Rd.

🎒 Have gently used softball gear your player has outgrown? We’d love to put it in the hands of a girl who needs it!

🥎 Need equipment to play? Come check out what’s available — 100% FREE! We’ll have bats, gloves, helmets, cleats, bags, catcher’s gear, and more. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

💙 Donations are also welcome! Monetary donations help us purchase missing gear and sizes so we can continue making softball accessible to everyone.

Whether you’re cleaning out the equipment bag, looking for a little help getting your player outfitted, or simply want to support girls in the game — come see us! ⚾️✨

Let’s pass the love of softball forward and help EVERY girl gear up for a great season! 🥎💙🧡

🚌💙 KINDERGARTEN BUS NIGHT IS COMING! 💙🚌

Calling all incoming Kindergarten families! 🎉 It’s almost time to hop on, learn, and take a ride! 🌊💛

Join us at Beach Elementary on Thursday, August 20, from 5:00–6:00 PM for a fun, hands-on evening designed to help our newest Trojans feel safe, confident, and ready to ride! 🚌✨

While parents meet inside, our kindergarteners will:
🚌 Learn important bus rules and safety tips
👋 Meet our bus and driver
🛣️ Take a short bus ride with their grown-up
🚦 Practice what to expect with turns, stops, and even dirt roads!

It’s a fun way to take away some of those first-day jitters and replace them with confidence! 💙

☁️ Clouds, Stories, & Creativity! ☁️

Our summer school students combined reading, imagination, and a little Michigan weather talk during today's fun cloud-inspired activity!

After reading a couple of stories about clouds and discussing how weather can affect the way clouds move, students put their creativity to work. Using cotton balls, they shaped their own "clouds" and predicted how they thought they would float. Then came the fun part—they tested their ideas by blowing their clouds across the table, thinking about whether they would move faster in a heavy wind or drift more slowly in a light breeze.

This hands-on extension gave students the opportunity to connect the stories they read with their own creative thinking while making observations along the way.

We love seeing our students bring books to life through engaging, interactive activities! ☁️💙
