Had to get creative to get the Ridge cap on the chicken run. More that one way to getter done! Ha ha ha got the lino inside for easy clean up.

I love the idea of being as self-sufficient as possible. What does that mean? Some people call me a prepper, others say I am a crazy plant lady, others say it is too much work. What my idea of self-sufficiency is being able to provide as much as possible for my family on our own. Less trips to the grocery store more trips to my own back yard. less trips to the doctor's office more trips to my own pantry for things that have to do with my health.
I am all of the above that people call me, but I am much more too. I work a full time job, spend many hours reading and learning every day. My hubby and I enjoy working together on our home and building our life together. In the next few weeks we will be covering a lot of ground finishing up the chicken/duck coop and run, along with putting in our garden. Yes it is a lot of work, but it is rewarding and we enjoy it. We will also be covering a lot of ground in preserving the things we grow, and going to the farmer's markets to purchase and support other local farmers to build our food storage. We will be canning, freeze drying and showing how to do it.
