We’re excited to finally share this groundbreaking study aimed at establishing a mathematically and physicochemically sound definition of material cohesion for viscoelastic mixtures based on conventional rheometric testing. This project became a reality only due to the collaboration between .foundation ( and )and the UCF departments of Materials Science, led by Dr. Kausik Mukhopadhyay and his PhD student Pritha Sarkar (who worked hard to collect the rheometric data for analysis), as well as Dr. Thomas Kean and Alina Lee, MS-I, at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, in affiliation with the UCF College of medicine, thanks to the efforts by Dr. Lane Coffee, Dr. Edward Ross, and Dr. Griffith Parks to bridge the different departments to accommodate these joint research efforts. Finally, the brilliant mind of Cavan Cohoes, whose mathematical proofing helped strengthen the argument for this novel method of cohesion analysis.
