Did the weather change enough to stay nice this time?

We hope so! We are eager to get this season started and the warmer temps and sunshine will help with that. Stay tuned for tomorrow and I'll show ya all what we are starting...

This year we will have soil available for sale. It's a nice big bag to use in flower pots or to put in your flower bed. It's really nice stuff.

Onto another note...

Our seedlings we started on Saturday here at DHT Nursery is starting to take off. The tomato seeds and one kind of flower is shooting up fasting then they have before but we aren't complaining. It's that time of year again and we are excited for a great year to come!

FOR SALE: BARE ROOT RASPBERRY PLANTS/ VARIETY PACK SOAP BOX/ SUN CHOKES/ CHICKEN BOOK/ EGGS

Another very productive day for Dale and I here at DHT Nursery... 😅

It may not have been sunny and 70 degrees but it was perfect weather to do a lot of stuff.

Dale Guthrie got the older Chicken tractor on wheels lightened up to bring back into service, gave the DHT Chickens some more compost to play around in, worked on some electrical work in the greenhouse. Also checked to make sure the heater and exhaust fan in the greenhouse was still in working condition for the new season, plus worked on fixing the small water pump we use to hook up to our one water tank outside to help with moving water to the greenhouse. He was BUSY and quite satisfied with what all he got done in one day!!

I, Heather Guthrie got the seeds that was still on the plant pods that was in the greenhouse from the fall got them taken off cause they was dry and was ready to bag up and put away. We had 8 different kinds of seeds to do up. From Chives, Marigolds, Yucca, and Rhubarb to Lupine and 3 different types of Sunflower seeds. Love getting them done up! Then got the water hoses strung out and got the water tank filled in the greenhouse...very slow process. Then went in the house and worked on cutting veggies up for the chicken noodle soup I'm going to make tomorrow and for Macaroni salad that I started. Plus boiled some eggs up YUMMY!!

For one day I think we got a lot accomplished and now we are tired.

BARE ROOT RASPBERRY PLANTS AND SUN CHOKES AVAILABLE!!

Here at DHT Nursery we got a lot accomplished this weekend...

Dale got all of the Blueberry bushes dug up and moved from the backyard to down across the road below the garden. He got them pruned and looking good!! Plus he got the Chicken yard cleaned up, more hay put down over the mud for them to scratch around in and some compost pile took in to them to make into compost gold for us.

Heather got some inside work down inside the house redoing, cleaning, and rearranging a new bookshelf and an old one too so that books and business stuff was more efficient and organized then they previously was. Also then I went out to the greenhouse and did some spring cleaning out there by taking out Farmers market tables and tent and putting them in the building where they belong, gathered up all the totes and baskets we use for gathering produce from the garden and put them all away and put pots over to the side till ready to use in the next few weeks.

It was a very busy weekend BUT was a beautiful time to get stuff done. And after the long January we had with the cold weather and the death in the family it was time to start to get back into the groove of getting stuff done.

We now are offering Bare root Raspberry plants for $2.00 each. Now's a great time to be planting your dormant plants. Get some NOW!

Plus, we have Sun chokes available too!! The Perennial sunflower grows a tuber that you can eat. Tastes kind of like a potato but sweeter but not like a sweet potato. It can make ya gassy if you eat too many but is such a treat to fry up like fried potatoes or to cook and make a small batch of mashed potatoes. They are very good for ya too. We have them for sale for $2.00/lb.
