Thanks everyone that came out for the senior BFA exhibit “Lumina”! We had a stellar turn out! If you missed the opening, there is still time to see the exhibition Mon-Friday 11-5pm through Friday, May 15th. Congratulations to all of our BFA seniors! We are so proud of you!!!

Our sixth BFA senior shout out goes to Odessa Matz who is graduating with dual degrees: a BFA with a focus in ceramics and a BA in psychology. After graduating from Frostburg State University, she intends to further her education by acquiring either a master’s in fine arts or a master’s in art therapy.

Our fifth BFA senior shout out goes to Mary Greco who is a student athlete who played on the women’s Soccer Team here at Frostburg State University. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design with a dual focus in illustration and painting, and a Minor in Art History. After graduation she will continue to develop her clothing brand while solidifying a career in her field. She hopes to one day be able to give back to her community, specifically disadvantaged young artists and athletes. See more of her work here

Gracelyn Moore who is a student at Frostburg State University and will graduate with a bachelor’s
degree in fine arts, with a Dual focus in Graphic Design and Ceramics. After graduation, Gracelyn
will continue her education into the Master’s in Arts and Teaching program at Frostburg State
University, with a goal to become an art educator. Way to go Gracelyn!

Our third senior BFA senior shout out goes to Emilia Smith. She is a transfer student from Potomac State College of WVU, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in secondary education with a concentration in history. Emilia will graduate from
Frostburg State University with a BFA degree in Art & Design, where she has a dual focus in ceramics and painting. After graduation, she plans to teach art to youth, coach volleyball, continue to build a
portfolio, and take on commission work to see where her relationship with creative work takes her. Art will always serve a big purpose in her life.

Our second BFA senior shout out goes to Ava Breighner who will graduate from Frostburg State University with aBFA in Art and Design, with dual concentrations in painting and photography and minors in art history and theatre. Ava’s interdisciplinary practice incorporates portraiture, alternative printing
techniques, and appropriation. She serves as co-chair of the Artistic Committee for the C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts and will be interning at the Delaplaine Arts Center this summer. See her work at the Lumina opening on May 9th, 2-4pm. Follow for more

Our first senior shout out goes to Alayna Weeks who is a transfer student from Garrett Community College where she received her AA degree in general studies. Alayna will be graduating from Frostburg State University with a BFA degree in Art and Design with a focus in Graphic Design and Photography and a minor in Art History. After graduation she hopes to get a job in the graphic design field where she can continue making art and being creative.
