Our Story
A partnership between Fort Scott Community College and the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® allows students the unique opportunity to earn an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in Motorcycle Service Technology.
This program will provide students the opportunity to experience valuable hands on training in a shop environment in addition to learning the theory needed to be successful.
Between the first and second year of the program the students will be given the opportunity to complete a twelve week summer internship in a Harley-Davidson® dealership to help better prepare them to begin a new and lucrative career in one of the many Harley-Davidson® dealerships across the country.
During the two year program our students will gain experience with Harley-Davidson Digital Technician® II a computer based diagnostic tool, TALONes® a dealer management system, in-dealership online PHD training from the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® as well as professional development.
Our goal is that all students will not only be equipped with the knowledge needed for entry level placement, but also that they will gain the soft skills that are needed to excel in the world of Harley-Davidson®.
