Google and the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation have extended an invitation to Prince William County Schools students to attend the workshop during our day off on Monday, November 3!
The Google Data Center in Virginia is hosting a free robotics workshop field trip for middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8, on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the Sweeney Barn in Manassas.
During the event, students will work together in small groups to form a team, build a robot, and participate in a friendly competition with students from other schools in our area. Students will have an opportunity to hear stories from leaders in their local community while working side-by-side with Googlers, and will be provided with breakfast and lunch.
The curriculum for this workshop is specifically designed for students with no robotics experience, and uses the VEX Robotics EXP equipment to align with ISTE standards, making it a fun, hands-on activity for students who are interested in STEM.
Parents can sign their students up on the event website (link below), and registration is open through October 31 at 11:00am. Space is limited.
