E. Wilson Morrison Elementary

Good evening, Bobcat Families,

Earlier this evening, our superintendent, Dr. Wright, shared an important message regarding the E. Wilson Morrison school building. Please see the attached message to this post for your review.

As stated in Dr. Wright’s message, E. Wilson Morrison will be closed to students on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25. We will share additional updates with families as soon as more information becomes available.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact the school administration or district leadership. At this time, our teachers and staff members have limited information and may not be able to answer questions regarding the situation.

Due to unexpected construction needs, the front entrance to E. Wilson Morrison will be temporarily relocated to the front right side of the building, as you face the building.

Construction fencing will be installed around the work areas to ensure everyone's safety while the project is underway. Please note that the construction will not interfere with the bus lane or the car rider drop-off/pick-up lane. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work through this project.

Our main entrance is closed, and our preschool entrance is closed. The temporary main entrance is now the Kindergarten hallway entrance.

The BEST and SAFEST way for students to arrive and leave school is by being picked up or dropped off in the car lane or by riding a bus to and from school. If you need a car tag or bus information, please don't hesitate to contact our front office.

We will continue providing exceptional educational service to our community while our school building is under construction.

Hello, EWM Families!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

On behalf of the entire EWM staff, we are excited to welcome our new and returning Bobcat families to Open House on Monday, August 10, from 4:00–7:00 p.m.

We have so many exciting things planned for the year ahead, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back into the building. We know it’s going to be an amazing year of learning, growing, and making memories together!
We look forward to seeing our Bobcats and their families on Monday!

School's out for summer! We had an awesome last day with our students. There was blacktop play, music, a staff inflatable race, and we wrapped it up with our annual bus wave. We hope you have a wonderful summer!

We celebrated our fifth graders last evening. We are so proud of all of you and know you will do great things. We will miss each of you! Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.

We would like to congratulate Colton Egan for being this year's JaSean Whiting Spirit Award winner. Mrs. West established this annual award to honor JaSean Whiting, a student who passed away in 2013 as a fourth grader. This award is given to a student who always has a positive attitude towards school, is kind, helpful, and always tries their best. These are just some of the traits that made JaSean one of a kind. The winner also receives a twenty-dollar Walmart gift card. We are proud of you, Colton!
