Join us in welcoming Christopher Hagen, MD, to Valley Health as a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine.
Along with caring for patients in Front Royal, Dr. Hagen will serve as faculty for the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program, helping train the next generation of physicians.
He completed undergraduate degrees in biology and Hispanic studies at St. John’s University and earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Hagen completed his family medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University–Cascades East.

Between his undergraduate studies and medical school, Dr. Hagen spent two years working as a nursing assistant at a respite shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. He also has experience as a hospitalist, where he gained exposure to acute care and strengthened his commitment to preventive medicine and continuity of care.
Dr. Hagen is a Virginia native and is passionate about serving his community and helping patients integrate evidence-based preventive strategies to support long-term health goals.
