Today is the day!!

These are kids who learned so much at an awesome talk about the Theology of the Body this week at Christ On Main! It was wonderful and we are so grateful to be able to go to these kinds of amazing events and deepen our faith together.

Relationships matter. This is why we have several opportunities over the summer to get together to form and strengthen relationships with each other - plus it's really fun to hang out together and do cool things!

We enjoyed a wonderfully hilarious production recently of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in downtown Greenville. It was a fantastic play!

Check out this super cool Lord of the Rings summer camp! The Fellowship of the Ring Camp in June is geared towards middle school and up. At the end of the camp, they will do a reenactment of a scene, but the main thing is to talk about the themes of friendship in LOTR book 1.

The camp is run by Ian, a 19-year-old amazing kid at Rosary College and member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and School.

Should the Catholic Church Embrace Homeschooling? 05/22/2026

This is an excellent read and hits on many points that need to be discussed such as how many vocations are now coming from homeschoolers and ways that the Church can support homeschoolers, especially noting that they do not compete with Catholic schools.

It's tough when the Church throws all its support behind one kind of Catholic education while not acknowledging other avenues, especially if those non-parish school options are working well to educate and raise children in the Catholic faith.

"If a homeschooler and a parish schooler both throw cash in the collection plate, the church will use it to subsidize one’s Catholic education but not the other’s."

Should the Catholic Church Embrace Homeschooling? Homeschooling has continued to see growth among Catholic parents. Is it time for the Church to officially support it?
