Sensei Drago Biography
Arthur Drago was born and raised in N.Y.C. in Business Administration. Drago started his Karate practice in 1964. His first instructor was Ernie Ferrara and Zenko Heshiki who were both under Ansei Ueshiro. Ueshiro was the first Okinawan to bring Shorinryu Karate Do to the States. Drago also practiced Zazen at the NY Zendo from 1965 to 1971 under the direction of Eido Roshi

Mixed adults Mon-We’d 7:30-9:30pm. Women’s class Tues-Thurs 7:30pm
Class this Saturday April 25th for ALL JUNIORS will be at 2:30pm-3:30 pm! Dojo opens for the juniors at 2:00pm for early practice!
All Juniors This Saturday April 25th have class from 2:30pm-3:30pm. Juniors May arrive at 2:00pm. This is due to the #125 Adult Weekend Training.

Last night Saturday April 11, 2026 A very special evening with two outstanding students: Colin Ashby 21(sitting on my right) and Cassidy Adcock 15(on my left) earned 2nd and 1st degree black belts at the 53 year old dojo in Front Royal Virginia. It was An Emotional and Dynamic 2 hour presentation of their martial arts skills as family and friends and fellow students supported and were apart of Colin and Cassidy’s promotion.
