We had a wonderful day at WCMS with guest presenter Adam Booth, Appalachian Storyteller, leading a workshop in our music classrooms and seniors from Hidden Springs Senior Living joining our art classes. Thank you for joining us today!

Have a Wonderful Spring Break! WCMS will be closed beginning 3/29/24 and will reopen on 4/8/24.

This morning our school was honored to welcome Mr. Frank Brandon, a 104-year-old Veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War and a POW survivor. Mr Brandon was able to speak with select 7th-grade students about his experience as a glider pilot during World War II and a prisoner of war. The students had a wonderful opportunity to meet and speak to a member of this country's greatest generation. Thank you Mr. Brandon for sharing your story with these entranced minds and thank you for your long service to our great Nation! This experience was perfect timing for our 7th-grade students, as they are currently studying about our Nation during and after World War II.

Congratulations Tony Clark on being named WCPS Teacher of the Year!!

Congratulations to our Volleyball teams for a wonderful season. While both lost their NVJL semi-final games last night, I want to thank them for great seasons.

Congratulations to our wrestling team who finished 2nd at the NVJL Championships. We had 6 individual Champions and 8 second place finishers.
