We are tired of the politics. We are tired of the bureaucracy, and we are tired of the lack of solutions.
We will continue to fight to strengthen communities and stop hate groups, and find common ground for solutions to our community and school issues. This is defense. We hope to be an ally to all parents, community members, teachers, and librarians who’d like to see solutions. We will be publishing an action plan soon on what we hope can be done to improve Skyline Middle School and support educators, and parents at that school.

Defense of Democracy advocates for legislators, educators, and administrators who will work to strengthen communities. We also advocate for a public education system that supports and enhances our shared experiences—regardless of religious beliefs, cultural background, or sexual orientation.

URGENT 🚨: we need your help!!! Tomorrow at Skyline High School there will be an emergency school board meeting starting at 5:30PM! This is a public forum which means anyone and everyone can speak for up to 3 minutes each. We are nervous that this meeting will be an opportunity for extremist in our county to speak in a way that will disparage and cause mass fear among parents and well meaning people!!! We all need to show up and share our truths and speak to the diversity of experiences our school systems offer! We hope to see you there!

Hello ALL! We are so excited to annouce we are hosting a READOUT event for October 6th at 8PM via zoom!!!! We are team and we wanted our event to feel like a community conversation.
