Middle School art students are taking their understanding of color theory to the next level! Instead of relying on traditional black-and-white shading, students learned how complementary colors on the color wheel can work together to create depth, dimension, and contour.

For their lemon artwork, students used purple and yellow to create shading and depth in the fruit, while red and green brought dimension to the stems and leaves. 🍋

To make the project even more challenging, students used **watercolor** as their medium, adding another layer of creativity and complexity to their work.

We love watching our students think outside the box, experiment with color, and discover new ways to bring their artwork to life! 🎨✨

What a blessing it was to see our community come together at the BRCA Social! We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended, donated, and supported our seniors and the Humane Society on Dolly Day. Your generosity and kindness make a difference, and we are so grateful for a community that cares so deeply!

Because of your support, we were able to come together for two wonderful causes, supporting our BRCA seniors and helping animals in need find the love and care they deserve.

From all of us at Blue Ridge Christian Academy, thank you for being part of this special event and for continuing to support our students and our community. We are truly blessed!

Our Life Skills class has been learning that everyday life is full of opportunities to practice healthy habits! Students explored where germs live, how they spread, and why proper handwashing and cleanliness are so important.

Then, they put those lessons into practice as they learned how to safely prepare and decorate cupcakes! From keeping hands and surfaces clean to practicing safe food-handling habits, our students learned that staying healthy and having fun in the kitchen go hand in hand.

Our 1st and 2nd graders got a hands-on lesson in history yesterday! They learned just how difficult it would have been to cut the Nile River through dirt and sand while exploring how this incredible river shaped life in ancient Egypt.

Getting their hands dirty helped bring the lesson to life as our students experienced, in a small way, the challenges of creating a river through the land. What a fun way to turn history into an unforgettable learning experience!

We love seeing our students learn, explore, and discover through hands-on activities!
