Today we had our Field Day! 🏅 Because of the rainy weather, we held it indoors but the kids still had an absolute blast.
Bowmen Sports hosted our Field Day again this year and their team always does an amazing job! 🤩
We played tug-of-war, capture the flag, tag, kickball, relay races, and more. 🏃♂️ Our kids even won "place" ribbons to show off their achievements.
Afterward, the kids were treated to a snow cone from Kona Ice. 🍧 What a fun Field Day together!

We hosted another fun cleanup competition today at Little Elm Beach Park in the Town of Little Elm, Texas - Government. 🗑️
Our crew split up into two groups and searched for trash to pick up. After 30 minutes, we weighed the groups’ trash and rewarded the winners with a sweet prize. 🏆
Together our group collected over 25 pounds of trash! 🎉 Go Dinos!

Our group met at the park today for our monthly Edible Science class. Today we learned all about ice cream! 🍨
We read a picture book, learned about freezing point, and discussed how ice cream is made. The kids also did a fun ice cream “roll the dice drawing" activity, and of course we experimented and made actual ice cream to try. 😋 What a delicious morning!

Our group gathered at the park today to enjoy the outdoors and play. The families also helped our party planning committee make paper flowers as decorations for our upcoming Spring Fling Dance. 🪩💃🏻🕺They turned out so pretty!! 🌸

This week some of us homeschool mamas took a night off and got together for a crafty mom’s night out! 🎨
We went to The Painted Teacup to paint pottery pieces and catch up with each other. These nights are always so much fun and well-deserved. 🥰

Yesterday our group took a field trip to the Frisco Heritage Museum! 🌾 We went back in time to explore Frisco’s small farming town roots and discovered how different forms of transportation helped shape Frisco into the vibrant city it is today. 🐮
We also stepped inside a one-room school house to see how children learned in early Frisco. 🍎 Then our kids got to try printing on a real vintage letterpress. 📜 What a fun morning for our group!
A huge thank you to Play Frisco - Parks & Recreation and the wonderful docents at The Frisco Heritage Museum for hosting our families.

Our group took a fun field trip to the Coppell Life Safety Park last week. 🧯
The kids became ambassadors of fire safety by learning about the tools of prevention—smoke alarms and home escape plans. Then they tested their knowledge in the LSP Safety House. 🏠
We also toured the Town Fire Station and met with a firefighter to learn about firefighting equipment and the kids (and some parents!) even used a real firefighter hose to put out a pretend fire. 💦
Thank you to the Coppell Life Safety Park teachers for such a wonderful morning!

For the month of March, The Colony Library showcased artwork that some of our Dino students made. It was so awesome to see all the creative, hard work that went into the kids’ art process. 🖼️
Today we hosted an art reception for our families and to celebrate the kids! 🎈There were refreshments, art awards given out, and of course all the photo-taking moments with our little artists.
Thank you so much to The Colony Library for helping us make this special opportunity happen for our homeschool families. 🎨

We got together to work on a service project for The Birthday Project, which helps teens and kids experiencing homelessness because everyone deserves to be celebrated on their special day. 🎉
The kids spent time making birthday cards to help make someone’s birthday a little brighter. It was a great reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. 💛

Today our group met at the park for our book club party! 📚 For this quarter we read, “Pages & Co.: Tilly and the Bookwanderers.”
We enjoyed homemade pop cakes 🥮 (mentioned in the book) with honey in individual syringes that the kids could fill the middle of the pop cake with. 🍯 The honey pop cakes were served with fresh fruit and ice cream + lemonade.
The kids also answered book discussion questions, shared their book projects, and made fun crafty bookmarks. 🔖
It was a fun read and such a great day!
