Rabi Al Awwal gives us an opportunity to make the remembrance of the Prophet (SAW) part of our children's everyday spiritual vocabulary.
As we continue this journey, teach your child a simple Salawat, but take a moment to explain what they are saying. When children understand that they are asking Allah to send His choicest peace and blessings upon Muhammad (SAW), the words begin to carry meaning rather than becoming something they simply repeat.
You can teach....then explain gently
Repeat it together slowly. Let the child hear it, say it and understand it.
Try this today
Choose one moment that already exists in your family's routine, after Salah, before bed or when the Prophet (SAW) is mentioned, and make it your family's moment for Salawat.
Over time, a few words can become a familiar response of the heart whenever the name of Muhammad (SAW) is heard.
