In-home self defense from home invasion…. I recommend this shotgun

What’s your plan of action in the unfortunate situation of home invasion?

✅ easy to maneuver around corner
✅ 20 gauge doesn’t have as much of a recoil like a 12g.
✅ pistol grip makes the shotgun easier to handle for both men and women.

This Mossberg Maverick 88 is a great shotgun at a very fair price.

In the state of Texas to become a licensed bodyguard, private investigator, or to conceal carry shotgun and pistol as a bodyguard or security officer you must first qualify as a Level lV PPO

As a Level 4 PPO personal protection officer, certification involved days of classroom and testing then gun range shooting qualifications… one of the best days for me was handcuffing protocols. We spent the entire 8 hours just on handcuffs and it’s definitely not as easy as it might look.

For the shotgun certification I used my 12 gauge, magazine fed, ROCK ISLAND VR80 built on an AR platform… really great shotgun and I only needed to add a few features to make this shotgun easier to use.

The weight of this gets heavy with the 9 round magazine or 20 round drum… so I added the picatinny rail to the bottom hand rail…
… then the froward grip with LED TACTICAL green laser and strobe light making the VR80 easier to handle… (the hand rail get to hot to hold after shooting the 20 round drum)

The gun sling with tactical adjustable strap makes carrying much easier… I might add a top handle as I continue to use this gun.

Don’t only bring your personal weapons when deadly weapons are involved. Hand to hand combat only goes so far in gun or bladed weapon fight for life.

Just because you know how to pull the trigger doesn’t mean you know how to shoot.

I admire the fact they don’t have to have extra training... they understand the difference training with an expert makes... #1927
