As we roll back and forth on the Handle Ball, children are strengthening their core muscles while developing balance, bilateral coordination, body awareness, and gross motor skills — all through the power of purposeful play. These movement experiences also support the vestibular system, helping children improve coordination, stability, focus, and confidence as they learn to trust their bodies in motion.

At Gymboree, every movement has a purpose, and every wobble, roll, and smile is helping build important foundations for future physical and developmental skills.

What looks like a simple craft project is actually so much more!

Our School Skills kids worked on cutting, tracing, sorting, gluing, following directions, problem solving, and fine motor coordination all in one activity! From carefully using scissors to organizing their “bones” into place, every step helped build important skills they’ll use for years to come.

Activities like these encourage focus, independence, creativity, hand strength, spatial awareness, and confidence — all while having fun and feeling proud of what they created.
