As Teacher Appreciation week comes to an end, we hope you took time to show your child’s teacher some love and support. ❤️ On Monday, the PTA provided lunch for teachers from Urban Cookhouse, and on Friday, we treated the teachers to a dirty soda bar!

Thank you for being a member of HBE PTA. Your annual membership allows us to support teachers in big and small ways. Thank you!

Next week is Teacher appreciation week! While Pinterest and the creatives on the internet have wonderful ideas on elaborate gifts, here are some simple ideas to show gratitude for everything your child’s teachers do throughout the year:
1. Write an email to Mr. Menezes or Ms. Escamilla expressing appreciation for your child’s teacher(s).
2. Grab pen and paper and write a handwritten note to the teacher. Notes from parents or students have a special magic to them.
3. Grab a gift card to a favorite restaurant or store. Teachers many times buy supplies out of their own pocket (pencils, glue sticks, Kleenex boxes), so a gift card goes a long way.
4. Coordinate with other parents to go in on a gift together.

We are so grateful that our teachers choose to teach at HBE. Let’s show them some love!

(ESP) ¡La próxima semana es la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros! Aunque Pinterest tiene ideas maravillosas de regalos elaborados, aquí hay algunas ideas sencillas para mostrar gratitud por todo lo que hacen los maestros de su hijo(a) durante el año:
Escriba un correo electrónico al Sr. Menezes o a la Sra. Escamilla expresando su agradecimiento por el/los maestro(s) de su hijo(a).
Tome papel y pluma y escriba una nota a mano para el maestro. Las notas de los padres o estudiantes tienen una magia especial.
Consiga una tarjeta de regalo para un restaurante o tienda favorita. Muchas veces los maestros compran materiales de su propio bolsillo (lápices, barras de pegamento, cajas de Kleenex), por lo que una tarjeta de regalo es de gran ayuda.
Coordine con otros padres para contribuir juntos a un regalo.
Estamos muy agradecidos de que nuestros maestros hayan elegido enseñar en HBE. ¡Mostrémosles nuestro cariño!

It might’ve rained, but spirits were bright at Spring Carnival! In-n-Out, scooter races, balloon animals, petting zoo, basketball shoot-out, Human-whack-a-mole and MORE! Even though the weather forced us indoors, there were lots of smiling faces 😁. Thank you again to our sponsors, and thank you to our volunteers who made the event possible. We’re grateful for teachers who are willing to get “pie”-ed (it was a tie between Ms. Shoemaker and Ms. Sawyer!). And congratulations to First Grade on the Moo-sical performance!🐥🐮
