The Liberty High School Orchestra had come through tonight for a little Friday Night Fun after a long week at school! They had just finished up their Fall Concert last week, so they decided they needed to have a bit of fun to celebrate another successful start to their school year! So tonight, these 2 teams came in to compete against one another in our Attic Society Chapter 1 rooms. While we say "compete" it was not really a full competition as one of the students have been with us enough times to have gone through all of our current themes!! So tonight we were curious to see just how much she could remember. And she definitely showed us along with some amazing teamwork with her classmates, their group was able to stop the clock with an astounding 22 minutes and 36 seconds remaining! So now it was time to see if their other classmates were just as lucky! And boy, they sure were!!! They fumbled and stumbled on the final lock as they entered their code, and stopped the clock within the FINAL SECOND! Everyone got to leave tonight as winners!!!! Great work everyone. Good luck at your next concert, and we'll have to see you back again soon for Attic Society Chapter 2! ;)

Luca is a confident and well-rounded 16-year-old boy from Germany. He describes himself as friendly, open-minded, tidy, polite, and humorous. He is involved in a number of different activities. He plays on the school soccer and volleyball teams, as well as the community table tennis team, which he does with his brother. He has also been playing the violin for eight years and is a member of the youth symphony orchestra in the neighboring town. Because of his strengths as an organizer, he also serves in various leadership capacities. For example, he works as a private tutor for younger students, and he was elected to the student government, where he is responsible for organizing different student events. In sports, he was the main student organizer for the regional soccer tournament. He has a variety of other hobbies, including reading, watching movies, bowling, and jogging, and he also enjoys simply hanging out with friends or playing board games with his family. German is Luca’s native language, and he has been learning English for six years and French for three years. He earned a score of “excellent” on his French standardized proficiency test when he did a one-week exchange program there. His favorite subjects in school are history, P.E., and math. Luca earns above-average grades and hopes to one day become a lawyer. According to his teachers, Luca is a friendly, confident, positive, and humorous student who is genuinely motivated to learn and is not shy about participating in activities or discussions. Luca lives at home with his mother and father, his older brother, and their two dogs. He is mildly allergic to raw carrots, hazelnuts, and almonds. He is also allergic to grass and birch pollen. He is willing to live in a home with dogs, but he is allergic to cats.
Letter to Host Family:
Dear Host Famiy, I am Luca and I am 16. My favorite and best subjects are History, Sports and Maths. School is also very important for me. In class, I’m friend with mostly everyone. I also play in the soccer team of our school. I work as an afternoon tutor for younger students at our school. I also work as a private tutor for maths. In my school I belong to the student council, which is engaged for the matters of other students. After school first I would like to see more of the world. Maybe I will travel to Autralia or Asia. After that I would like to study law. My tasks at home are setting the table, going for a walk with our two dogs and helping my mum in the kitchen. My brother and I play both in the same table tennis team. Besides I have played the violin for eight years and I play in the local symphony orchestra with about 40 people. I am good at organizing things such as trips by train with friends or selling cookies at school for Christmas. Another strength is that I keep cool in every situation. In my free time I meet my friends and do things like watching movies, going bowling or jogging. We also made up our own soccer team (14 people between 16 and 18 years old), bought and designed our own jerseys and take part in some little tournaments. In the last vacation I went to France on my own with a group of ten friends. There we made activities like rafting, climbing, canoeing and swimming. At the weekend my family and me often go to restaurants. In the evening we play many board games. country. I am really looking forward to becoming a part of my new host family and to live with them. I also want to find new friends and learn more about the United States. I am looking forward to hearing from you very much. Sincerely, Luca
We had a great time, despite all the violence portrayed! :)
