Some storms don’t come to destroy you.
They come to reveal who you become when you stop fighting alone and start trusting God completely.
The pressure may be heavy, but so is the purpose being built inside of you.
Stay faithful through the storm. Your breakthrough is on the other side.

I wonder how many people said “I’m okay” today while fighting a battle nobody could see.
So before you shut down, disappear, or convince yourself nobody cares; this is me checking on you.
Are you okay, really?

If you can’t talk about it, you can’t grow through it. Healing often starts with the conversation you’ve been avoiding.

“You already know what to do.
You’re just negotiating with comfort.”
That’s the real battle most people never admit.
It’s rarely confusion.
It’s rarely lack of information.
And most of the time, it’s not even fear of failure.
It’s comfort.
Comfort will make you stay in relationships you know are draining you. Comfort will convince you to keep procrastinating on the dream you keep talking about. Comfort will tell you “next week” until years pass by.
Comfort will make you tolerate stress, mediocrity, inconsistency, and excuses because at least it feels familiar.
You already know you need discipline.
You already know you need boundaries. You already know you need to heal, grow, forgive, apply, start, leave, pray, speak up, or let go.
The problem is every time growth demands discomfort, you reopen negotiations with the very thing keeping you stuck.
At some point you have to stop asking comfort for permission to become who God called you to be.
Your next level is going to cost you convenience.
Accept the price and move.

“You will never regret getting dirty when you see things grow.”- MLR
Growth has never been clean.
Growth looks like late nights, uncomfortable conversations, hard decisions, and moments where you question if it’s even worth it. It’s messy. It’s tiring. It’s frustrating. It’s showing up when you don’t feel like it. It’s planting seeds when you can’t see results yet.
Getting “dirty” means you’re in the process. It means you’re doing the work. It means you’re not afraid to break a sweat for a better future.
Because nothing grows without effort.
Nothing blooms without pressure.
Nothing changes without you getting involved.
And one day you’ll look back and realize the struggle was you breaking through the soil.
Keep planting. Keep pushing. Keep showing up.
The harvest is coming. 🌱💪🏾

What happens when we stop pretending everything is fine, and start actually talking?
What happens when parents lean in instead of shut down?
When teens feel heard instead of labeled?
That’s The Lab: UNMUTED. I’m honored to serve as a featured facilitator for this powerful experience.
My role is to help bridge the gap between parents and student athletes, to create real understanding, honest dialogue, and stronger connections where both sides feel seen, heard, and respected.

The hardest part about living someone truly is showing them the part of you that you are still fixing.
Loving someone for real isn’t just about showing your strengths. It’s about having the courage to reveal the parts of you that are still under construction.
The habits you’re trying to break.
The wounds you’re still healing.
The fears you’re still learning how to face.
That’s the part many people hide.
But real love doesn’t require perfection; it requires honesty. When you trust someone enough to say, “I’m still working on this part of me,” you’re offering them something deeper than polished words; you’re offering them your truth.
And the right person won’t run from your unfinished places. They’ll respect your growth, honor your vulnerability, and walk beside you while you continue becoming the man or woman God is shaping you to be.
Because love isn’t about finding someone who has it all together.
It’s about finding someone who sees your process and still chooses to stay.
Keep showing up honestly.

“When nobody can correct you, pain will become your greatest teacher.”
One of the most dangerous places a person can reach in life is the place where they stop being teachable.
When no one around you feels safe enough to challenge you…
When your pride rejects correction…
When you only surround yourself with people who agree with you…
Life will step in.
And life does not whisper the way wise counsel does.
Life teaches through consequences.
Through heartbreak.
Through lost opportunities.
Through mistakes that could have been avoided.
Correction is not criticism; it’s protection.
The right voices in your life will sharpen you, stretch you, and sometimes even confront you. Not because they want to tear you down, but because they refuse to watch you stay stuck in patterns that limit your purpose.
Growth requires humility.
Wisdom requires listening.
If you refuse correction, pain will eventually step in as the instructor.
Choose mentors.
Choose accountability.
Choose growth.
Because the strongest people in the world are not the ones who know everything…
They’re the ones who are still willing to learn.
