About GSS CARES: In the event of national or international disasters, Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority responds with a special call to service - GSS C.A.R.E.S. (Collaboration to Assist in Relief Efforts through Service). This is our initiative to help with relief efforts when areas are devastated by any natural disaster/manmade disaster.

Facts: "Childhood cancer occurs regularly, randomly and spares no ethnic group; socioeconomic class; or geographic region. In the United States, the incidence of cancer among adolescents and young adults is increasing at a greater rate than any other age group, except those over 65 years."
