🦁 Leadership Prep School Athletics Welcomes Coach Kenny McGowen to the Lion's Den! 🦁
Leadership Prep School Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Kenny McGowen as Teel Elementary's Physical Education Teacher and Head Coach of the Varsity Girls Basketball Program.
Coach McGowen brings more than 11 years of experience in education and 19 years of coaching experience to LPS. A native of McKinney, Texas, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Idaho State University, equipping him with a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and relationship building.
Throughout his career, Coach McGowen has coached multiple sports, officiated, trained athletes, and mentored young people. His passion for basketball runs deep, and he believes the game provides opportunities to teach life lessons, develop character, build meaningful relationships, and help student-athletes grow both on and off the court.
Family and faith are central to Coach McGowen's life. He and his wife, Rose, are proud residents of McKinney and cherish time spent with their three children and four-year-old grandchild. His commitment to serving others, developing young people, and making a positive impact extends far beyond athletics.
