🥋🔥 JIU-JITSU FAMILY — THE GI IS BACK!

Starting tomorrow, September 1st, we are officially heading into a new season of Jiu-Jitsu training — and we’re going BACK TO THE GI! 👊🏼

Please make sure everyone comes to class wearing their complete Jiu-Jitsu gi uniform and ready to train.

September is also going to be an important month because we will be striping belts throughout the month! 🎯 This is a great opportunity for everyone to sharpen their technique, show their progress, and take another step forward in their Jiu-Jitsu journey.

New season. New goals. Back to the details. Let’s train! 🔥🥋

And if your student has outgrown their gi or needs a new one, please let us know. We’ll be happy to help you get the right uniform.

☀️ Please Welcome Mrs. Mercede Alvarez to Our Samurai Inti Team!

Dear Samurai Inti Families,

We are very excited to share some special news with you. Mrs. Mercede Alvarez is coming home to Samurai Inti—this time as part of our instructor team! 🥋❤️

Mercede began training with us when she was just seven years old in 2012. Over the years, we have had the privilege of watching her grow from a young martial artist into an accomplished athlete and, most importantly, a wonderful young woman of character.

Mercede is a 2nd-degree Black Belt who completed all of our Samurai Inti programs, including our Instructor Certification Program. She is also a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an accomplished wrestler, with more than 300 competitive matches and a State Runner-Up finish.

But what makes Mercede special goes far beyond belts, medals, and accomplishments.

She has always been one of the toughest young ladies to step onto our mats. She has tremendous perseverance, discipline, a great attitude, and a big heart. I have known Mercedes and her family for nearly 15 years, and it means a great deal to welcome her back after college and see her begin this new chapter with us.

We are especially excited for our young girls to have another strong female martial artist, mentor, and role model on the mat—someone who can show them firsthand what confidence, strength, kindness, and perseverance look like.

There is something very special about watching a seven-year-old student grow up on your mats and one day return to help teach the next generation. ❤️

Mercedes is truly part of the Samurai Inti family, and we know she will be a tremendous addition to our instructor team.

Martial arts offers something different.

It’s not about being picked first.
It’s not about being the fastest kid on the team.
And you don’t have to beat someone else to succeed.

It’s a personal journey. ❤️

Your child learns to appreciate who they are, discover what they’re capable of, overcome their own challenges, and become a little stronger and more confident every day.
