Meet Tiffany Arnold, PTAs Book Fair Chair. This is Tiffany's second year on the PTA. She chooses to be committed to the PTA because as a parent of two kindergarteners last year, she didn’t know what to expect. She was incredibly impressed by the positive impact the PTA had on the students, teachers, and staff. The joy and involvement they brought to the school community was inspiring and comforting for a new FISD parent. She wanted to be a part of continuing that legacy. Looking for ways to give back to Sem Elementary? Help the PTA win up to $5,000! 💵 All you have to do is save your receipts of any purchase made at the Frisco Rail District between now and January 15th! 🧾 The amount of the receipt doesn’t matter. Did you know plastic film and bags should not go in our recycling bins? They are called "tanglers" because they tangle up in sorting machines at the recycling facility and break down equipment.
The good news is, we can still recycle them, we just have to put them in a separate recycling bin. Sem has one just for plastic bags and film. It's a tall, green bin, located in the foyer by the cafeteria.
And next week, Sem is competing with the other Frisco ISD schools to collect the most plastic bags. Send them to school for the students to recycle. You can declutter and recycle at the same time. Win-Win!
